This painting has very special significance to me and it is all about family. Like many people in this part of Wisconsin, we spend some time each summer up in the North Woods. I have sketchbooks full of paintings and they bring back wonderful memories. I have done some paintings intended for framing also. This is one of those. Most mornings I go out painting. At the time of painting Morning on Muskellunge Lake I had three very special ladies sitting with me; my sister, daughter and niece.
My framing is always archival. The frame on this painting is a maple wood with a gallery format.
